Potter calls on psychiatrist Sydney Freedman after Hawkeye must reopen one of Potter’s patients because Potter failed to remove all of the shrapnel. It seems the Senior Surgeon is fearing he may be losing his surgical abilities. Charles’ frustration with Hawkeye and B.J.’s slovenly ways leads to a Swamp-thrashing argument. Potter regains his confidence after a few soul-searching sessions with Freedman.
