Hawkeye, B.J. and Charles are given the assignment of deciding the promotions of the enlisted men and immediately have to fend of pleas and bribes. Charles is even threatened with violence by an ambitious Corporal Hitalski. When Klinger is promoted to Sergeant he sets up Hitalski’s arrest. Later Potter befriends a soldier who is ostracized for sticking to his moral code of ethics.
