The 4077th becomes a media circus when the middle-weight boxing champ has a stroke while at the M*A*S*H unit on a publicity junket. Hawkeye becomes the center of the media pummeling when the boxer dies while under his care. Meanwhile, B.J. invents a new medical electroshock technique while trying to save the life of a patient. The patient lives but the press ignores the story in favor of the weightier news of the death of the champ.
